NDTS is the acronym for National Dual Training System. 'Dual' means training in two learning situations where training is a joint venture between companies and training institutions.
 

• Duration : Based on the skill level that has been predetermined in the Malaysian Skill Certification System (CBMS)
   

• Practical-Theory Ratio : 70% to 80% of practical training in industry and 20% to 30% of theoretical training at the training center
   

• Concept : Self-learning approach (Self-reliant Learning)
   

• First Method of Delivery : Day Release System
  For example, practical training for 4 days in the companyfollowed by one day of theory class at a related training centre.
   

• Second Method of Delivery : Block Release System ( jika perlu )
  For example, 3-4 months practical training followed by 1-4 weeks of related theory class.
   

• Trainee : SPM graduate, unemployed youth and/or salaried employee at work who is selected by the company. The company is not bound to offer a job after the training.
   

• Award of Certificate : Malaysian Skills Certificate (2 & 3), the Malaysian Skills Diploma (DKM) and the Malaysian Skills Advanced Diploma (DLKM)
